Goshen was named the number one community in Indiana. I am proud to call Goshen my home. Especially with everything occurring in our politics currently, I admire the determination of our community to not only embrace, but continue to grow in diversity. Overall, this has helped me become an open-minded student. Being the band student that I am, I am defensive about appreciation of the arts. In Goshen, while there is an effort, there is a clear preference over sports. As both a musician and athlete I'm aware of both perspectives and it's caused a tension that even students are aware of. The community is wonderful and there are many local places to go have fun and eat! I love the stores downtown and most of the people I meet because they are very friendly.
